What agencies have you been in contact through MODELS.com?
I am happy that I got on here because after about 8 months of being on here I was like what a waste of money but then CITY MODEL MANAGEMENT contacted me from San Francisco. I just signed the contract with about two days ago and hope to have some work up north. I tried to submit once before to like ELITE NYC but never heard back! so it is awesome that I met City. Anyone in New York, Miami I am waiting for you! lol
How did you become interested in modeling?
I became interested in modeling about 5 years ago. I started off going to a modeling convention in vegas called MAGIC, where I met this up and coming clothing line called EBO (everything but ordinary) worked with them for a year or so and then things didn’t work out for them so I parted ways! Than one day I was walking in la and someone came up to me and was like you should model.. I was like oh sure you just want my money! Well I then met with this agency and met my now manager Biron Garrett and Phillip. We talked for about an hour that day in the office and I guess when you first meet an agent usually its in and out. I became close to them right from the beginning. Now they are my mother agency! Now called Talent Syndicate. A small place that has worked hard for me! So to answer the question I just stumbled upon some great people!
What was your experience with them?
Sal Marquez has been amazing. The staff there is very excellent and actually will give you time to just talk about your day! They have treated me very well! I hope that everyone gets at least one contact like CITY!
What advice would you have for other aspiring models trying to get noticed by these agents?
PRAY, and know in your heart that if Dreams were easy everyone would be following them. Hang in there because the hardest times are where you truly find out who you are as a person. Don’t give up, there will be ups and downs, but never forget what makes you happy. Never sell yourself short! Being humble is the key to being a great model! Never loose track of who you were and those who were around you when you started, because those people are your true friends.
