Pope Benedict XVI bobblehead pope doll

WASHINGTON - A promotional video starring a bobblehead pope doll has been pulled from YouTube after complaints from the Archdiocese of Washington.

Capital transport bosses scrapped the video, which aimed to encourage people to ride the Metro to Nationals Park where is saying Mass next week.

Archdiocese spokeswoman Susan Gibbs said the video, which showed the bobblehead riding a Metro train, made many people uncomfortable. The Metro said no offense was intended.

Meanwhile, experts said the pope will do his best to dodge presidential politics when his trips to Washington and New York begins on Wednesday.

“The pope will probably speak in broad enough and general enough terms that anybody who is determined to read endorsement of his or her political position will find an endorsement there,” said Russell Shaw, a former spokesman for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The Vatican confirmed that Benedict will address the child sex abuse scandal that rocked the Roman Catholic Church in Boston in 2000, although critics said he should give the address in the Hub.

I was looking for the video but can’t find it… all I can see in youtube are imitations of the famous Bobblehead doll. But nothing will escape in the online world because I can still find it in some websites and blogs…
