Yeah, it’s sad that rugby has not taken off yet in the Philippines, but we are making good progress.

The Philippine team won the Silver at the recently concluded SEA Games in Thailand, and have upcoming test matches in June against Guam and Brunei. Also, if you are interested, the local clubs will be competing in the Alabang 10’s tournament at Alabang Country Club on March 15, and the Nomads Club in Merville Subd. will be holding the annual Manila 10’s tournament on Apr 4-6. Last year the Manila 10’s boasted 32 teams from 18 countries, and was a great weekend of rugby, food and entertainment.

We believe that the sport will grow in the Philippines and that we will become a contender for the top spot in Asia in the years to come.

    Cheers,

    Noel

Yup, that’s good to hear you have clubs here in the Philippines… I never knew about that… and for the Manila 10’s Tournament on April, I am not sure if I can come, I am base here in CDO…. and I never seen any rugby official game held here in the City yet and I want to watch a rugby game…
